Beijing Roller Derby - Skate-A-Thon!

Hey derby world!

We are super excited to share with you all BRD's first ever public event.

We are incredibly proud that our league, which is made up of players new to the sport and even to roller skating, has grown in numbers, confidence and skill and are ready to show Beijing their skating!

So what is a skate-a-thon?

An event where we will be skating hundreds of laps in 2 hours at Tuanjiehu Park in Chaoyang District, Beijing.
Then going with friends, family and fans for a lunch afterwards.

Why are we doing this event?

So that we can raise donations to buy loan kit!

We currently struggle trying to ship skates into China and are unable to buy roller derby gear here in the country, so our shipping costs are very high.

Donations will go towards these shipping costs and skates. Donations will help us provide the correct gear to our skaters so we can progress with the sport and keep safe.

How can you support us?

You can help us by spreading the word about our event online, and to your friends and families.

Go a step further and donate online at

Thank you

We are very grateful to the international derby community for the messages of support we have received, and maybe one day we will be able to travel and skate with some of you!

We will let you know how it goes, and give the derby community some feedback and advice should you also want to throw a skate-a-thon!
