World Cup Global Audience Distribution

Among the most remarkable stats in World Cup By The Numbers were DNN’s website visitation totals, which were far above any previous event’s audience. We thought it’d be interesting to dig a little deeper into our audience stats to see just who was watching (and more to the point, from where).

For context, the geographic breakdown for DNN’s website visitors during the seven days surrounding WFTDA Champs 2010 (the largest previous audience we’ve had) was roughly 86% USA, 6% Canada, 3.5% UK, 1.6% Australia, and nothing else above 1%. Roller derby’s first truly global event drew an impressively global audience, as this breakdown of Nov 29 – Dec 5 site visits by country clearly shows:
