FOLLOW:

WFTDA has added 22 leagues from seven countries to the Apprentice Program, including the world’s first apprentice leagues from Austria and Spain.

The apprentice program is the WFTDA’s pathway to full membership, sanctioned gameplay and divisional tournaments.

With the addition of Vienna Rollergirls and Barcelona Roller Derby, the apprentice program now includes representation from nine European countries: Austria, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Netherlands, Spain, Sweden and the UK.

Australia now has 11 apprentice leagues and two member leagues. In the city of Brisbane alone there are now two apprentice leagues, one member league and two non-WFTDA leagues.

Here is the full list of new apprentice leagues and their websites. Congratulations to all new apprentices.
