Undead eagerly returned from the trenches of the offseason and fulfilled their promise of an action packed bout against the Bakersfield Roller Girls. Did you notice a couple of new faces on the track? Admiral Degenerate and Loca Anesthesia took the home track on May 10th as Undead Bettys for the first time!  The Mother’s Day themed opening bout for the 2014 season was a smashing success!  Local vendors were present and a raffle included a chance for fun prizes while supporting your local roller derby league. Yummy desserts were another great addition to the bout and suspense-fully eaten as the roster of 9 Undead Bettys defended their track against Bakersfield’s full roster of 14. The devastating blows dealt by Lisa Fer and Loca Anesthesia were countered by fantastic recycling on the entire team’s behalf. Many penalties on the Bakersfield jammers resulting in power jams which inflated the Undead’s score even further. Admiral Degenerate easily assimilated into the Undead’s group of jukey jammers and a panty pass (or two) resulted in Prim and Improper jamming as well.  Bakersfield fought hard often playing two notable blockers Bond Girl 007 and Bone Crusher 116. The Undead took home the win 279 to 177.
